What we build

Four kinds of projects we’re built for.

We don’t do new-construction homes, room additions under 200 sqft, or pop-up handyman work. Here’s what we are good at — and we’re honest about that.

Kitchen & bath remodels

Most popular

Full-gut or refresh — design, demo, plumbing, electrical, cabinets, counters, finish. One licensed crew, one project manager, one number to call.

  • Design + build
  • Permit handling
  • Fixed-price contracts
from $28kRequest estimate →

Whole-home renovations

Multi-room and full-home projects. We handle the trades, the timeline, and the paperwork — you make the design calls without managing the crews.

  • Single-source GC
  • Live progress dashboard
  • Pre-construction meetings
from $85kRequest estimate →

Additions & second stories

Square-footage projects with structural, electrical, and HVAC complexity. Engineered, permitted, and built to keep the home livable through the build.

  • Structural engineering
  • City of Austin permits
  • Phased work plans
from $145kRequest estimate →

Outdoor living

Decks, patios, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, and pool decks. We build for Texas heat, Texas storms, and the way you actually use the backyard.

  • Hardscape + softscape
  • Outdoor kitchens
  • Lighting + drainage
from $18kRequest estimate →
Why Hill Country

Four reasons projects don’t go sideways.

01

Fixed-price contracts

We bid the project, sign the price, and stick to it. Change orders only happen when YOU change the scope — never because we underbid the job.

02

One project manager, start to finish

You don’t chase six subs. Your PM is the single number you call — for schedule questions, design changes, or the inevitable Tuesday morning surprise.

03

Licensed, insured, and permitted

Texas RMP-licensed, $2M general liability, full workers comp. We pull every permit, schedule every inspection, and hand you the closeout package.

04

Daily progress updates

Photos, schedule notes, and any decisions needed — pushed to a private project page every evening. You always know what happened today and what’s next.

Hill Country GC remodeled our kitchen and primary bath simultaneously. Came in two weeks early and $4k under budget. Communication was honestly the best I’ve had with any contractor.

We did a full-house renovation while living in the home. Sounds like a nightmare. Wasn’t. Their phased plan kept the kitchen running for 6 of 8 months and they communicated daily.

Built a 600 sqft addition for an aging-in-place suite for my mom. Permits, structural, electrical — all handled. Done in 14 weeks. Fair price, no surprise change orders.

Common questions

Stuff homeowners ask before signing.

How does pricing work for a remodel?+

We give you a free in-home estimate, then a written fixed-price proposal once design is settled. We hold that price unless YOU change the scope — and any change order has a written estimate before work begins. No surprise invoices.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?+

Most kitchens are 6–10 weeks from demo to final inspection, depending on cabinet lead times and scope. Permits add 2–3 weeks on the front end. We share a milestone schedule before signing so you know what to plan around.

Do you handle permits and inspections?+

Yes — we pull every required permit through City of Austin (or your local jurisdiction), schedule all inspections, and handle any corrections. You don’t deal with city paperwork.

Can we live in the house during the project?+

Usually yes for kitchens, baths, and additions — we phase the work to keep one bath and a working kitchen functional whenever possible. Whole-home renovations are case-by-case; we’ll be honest about whether it’s realistic.

Do you guarantee your work?+

Yes. 1-year workmanship warranty on every project, plus full pass-through of manufacturer warranties on cabinets, appliances, fixtures, and finishes. Documented in your closeout package.

Have a project in mind? Let’s walk it.
